EDS Engineering, the electrical side of the company uses a wide range of home automation aids including Instabus, X10
control and in-house designed blinds control systems . These are designed to be user friendly with the emphasis on ease of
use and maximum use of physical switches and manual analogue time-clocks that the customer will find easy to use. The trend
nowadays is to complicate user interfaces making it very hard for the consumer to work out how to operate systems. Even when
the customer learns how to program a digital clock, it is a safe bet that when the time comes for him to adjust the setting,
he has to relearn the programming all over again
